The planned renovation of Le Président along Avenue Louise in the heart of Brussels has started. The office purpose of the building will be retained, but the building will be adapted to current standards. Owner Union Investment wants a building after the renovation that puts people and the environment first. YUGENING architecture, WELL Accredited Professional for years, translated that vision into a design that is also full of circular building principles. Both parties want the project setting an example for future sustainable construction projects on both a human and technical level. That is why the new building was renamed THE PRECEDENT, to demonstrate that it sets a new example in the building industry and the office world. The Precedent nicely shows what circular construction means on different levels. Keeping what is possible and going as circular as possible with the new materials. YUGENING architecture kept the existing concrete skeleton in its design and added new technologies such as eyrise® dynamic solar glazing on the façade.
